Oxford Book of World Records Awarded to SMS Hospital Skill Lab for Largest Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Session

The Oxford Book of World Records has recognised SMS Hospital Skill Lab, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, for achieving the World Record for the Largest Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Session.

The record was established through the successful planning and execution of a large-scale Basic Life Support training programme that engaged 1,200 participants in a continuous six-hour session. The training was conducted during the World Health and Wellness Festival on 20 December 2025.

This initiative focused on imparting essential emergency response and life-saving skills to a wide and diverse group of participants, demonstrating exceptional organisational capacity and a strong commitment to public health education. The achievement sets a new global benchmark in mass BLS training and highlights the importance of preparedness and awareness in emergency medical care.
